WHO WE ARE

We are the farm to fork!

Our

Mission & Values

We believe in the importance of gathering as a community and celebrating an incredible meal made from what's growing all around us. We grow great food in Yolo County and we produce the largest variety of crops of any county in California!

____

From the very beginning, we have purchased what goes into your amazing courses. We pay our local growers and ranchers and we support our local businesses. We respect that most businesses operate with small margins. So when you purchase a ticket to the dinner or become a sponsor, you are supporting your local growers, ranchers, chefs, servers, student clubs, nonprofit organizations, and you are supporting your local economy. And let's not forget our phenomenal local wines and beers!

We also believe it's vital that we teach our young people where their food comes from and the importance of eating healthy nutritious food. Thanks to the generous support of our guests and sponsors, we have Woodland's Edible Learning Garden as the perfect classroom. This same classroom produces veggies and fruit for our friends at Fourth and Hope.

Rachel Medina

Executive Director

I have always had a love for this community, for people, and for a good celebration. When I was asked to volunteer at the first Dinner on Main in 2016, of course I said YES! Folding napkins and putting together swag bags filled with local goods in the old Daily Democrat building with some great people, for a great cause. Each time I was asked to help, whatever the task was, I was more than happy to. I officially joined the board of directors in 2022, and shortly after I was asked to become the Executive Director, following in the incredibly visionary footsteps of Linda Henigan.

I have been a part of event planning committees for the Yolo Board of Realtors Affiliate, and Young Professionals Network as well as for the Woodland Chamber of Commerce. But my passion for planning events started when my kids were young, and we’d gather all our family and friends together to celebrate each birthday, holiday or milestone. That is what I envision for Dinner on Main, as the great Juan Barajas says, “We are all family, just sitting down at a larger table.” And I couldn’t agree more.
